A new era of growth and CEO for Humu: Welcome, Scott Chancellor

Today, we’ve announced the appointment of Scott Chancellor as our new Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Laszlo Bock. We are thrilled that Scott is joining Humu, bringing over 20 years of experience in leading teams at high-growth technology companies—from startups to the Fortune 100.

Scott joins us from Apptio, where he spent the past three years in the role of Chief Product & Technology Officer. During his time there, he oversaw a period of rapid product and revenue growth for the company, leading its expansion into the Cloud Financial Management and Enterprise Agile Planning markets, while modernizing and revitalizing Apptio’s core product offering.

Prior to joining Apptio, Scott spent over seven years at Amazon Web Services, where he founded and led the company’s AWS Insights organization as General Manager. He oversaw several of AWS’s most used services—including all of its cloud financial management services—and drove adoption to over one million active users.

Under Scott’s leadership, we’re excited to usher in a new era of growth at Humu. Earlier this year, we raised a $60M Series C to accelerate product development and hiring efforts. And now, with Scott’s expertise in building category defining products, championing the voice of the customer, expanding into new markets, and assembling world-class teams, we’ll be delivering more experiences that our customers will love.

As part of this transition, Laszlo Bock, co-founder of Humu and CEO since 2017, will move into a new role as Executive Chairman. Over the past five years, Laszlo has transformed Humu from an idea scrawled on a napkin to a company that is making work better for over 40,000 teams in more than 50 countries. In his new role, Laszlo will preside over Humu’s board and serve as an advisor and spokesperson.
